In 1998, the co-founders, Loic Le GUILLANTON and Arthur de La TAILLe meet around gypsy caravan and create "GADJE".
Embroidered with gypsy swing,decorated with Flamenco and draped in the rustle of storytellers,"BALKADJE" offers itself like a piece of cloth in the hot market sun.
The french festival's audience is rapidly charmed, and two tours in the Czech Republic give birth to a first album "Bohemian Soirée".
Nolwenn LEIZOUR, double bass player, joins the band in 2002, bringing in new perspectives.
Mixing laughter,softness and Andalousian monotonous sounds,"BALKADJE" touches all our senses and delights our soul.
