Es geschieht selten, dass ein Treffen von fünf dänischen Musikern und einem dänisch/ holländisch/ indonesischen Sänger feurig-heißen Bossa Nova ergibt. Aber genau das ist die Geschichte, die sich hinter den Brazilian Boots verbirgt. Mit 'Dive' veröffentlichen sie ihr Debütalbum und die Band selbst bezeichnet ihre Musik als Neo Retro Bossa Nova. Sänger Lars De Lamotte ist zudem ein talentierter Songwriter und hat den Großteil der elf Stücke des Albums komponiert. Um dem blubbernden Bossa Genre gerecht zu werden, muss der Gesang in Portugiesisch erklingen. Daher entschied sich De Lamotte kurzerhand, neben der Beschäftigung mit Komposition, in Eigenregie Portugiesisch zu lernen. Inzwischen spricht er die Sprache wie seine eigene. 'Dive' steht synonym für Entzückung, Genuss und Freude. Die Musik ist schön, poetisch und kommt von Herzen – Musik zum Eintauchen!

It rarely happens that a meeting between 5 Danish musicians and 1 Danish/Dutch/Indonesian singer results in warm fiery bossa nova. Exactly this, however, is the story of the band Brazilian Boots. “Dive” is their debut album and the band itself labels their music Neo Retro Bossa Nova. Singer Lars De Lamotte is a talented songwriter and has composed the majority of the 11 album tracks. Playing the bubbling bossa genre the vocals need to be in Portuguese, therefore - alongside being busy composing - De Lamotte has taught himself Portuguese and now speaks the language like a native. “Dive” is synonymous with delight, enjoyment and happiness. The music is beautiful, poetic and heartfelt – music to dive into!
