Member of Captain Mercier, of Tentet au carré (jazz funk), of Franck lacy and Ometis (gospel) big band, the saxophonist Michaël Cheret is now well known in the Jazz world. With Emmanuel Duprey at the piano, Mathias Renaville at the bass, Yohann Loustalot at the trompet and Arnaud Renaville playing drums, he offers in this new album "Serious Things" 10 titles from his composition influenced by Cannonball Adderley music, between blues and hard bop with a special guest on "La Piu bella", stephano Di BAtista. A Quintet full of energy who is playing bop very seriously, without being serious!
