In Israel geboren und aufgewachsen begann Dalia schon in jungen Jahren, Jazzmusik zu hören. Nachdem sie drei Jahre lang Piano gespielt hatte, versuchte sie sich an der Gitarre und entschied sich für sie als ihr Hauptinstrument. Dalia machte 1991 mit höchsten Ehren ihren Abschluss am Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, USA und zog dann nach Europa – um sich in Kopenhagen, Dänemark niederzulassen. Schon ihre gesamte Karriere als Musikerin hindurch konzentriert sich Dalia auf ihr eigenes Originalmaterial und ihr Orchester „Common Ground“. Das Orchester trat innerhalb der letzten zwölf Jahre überall in Europa auf und seine Musiker aus den Jazz- und Worldszenen präsentieren eine Mischung aus Jazz und Folk. In diesem Jahr machte Dalia aus „Common Ground“ zwei neue Projekte: Das erste ist ein New Jazz-Projekt mit Namen „Spring Alliance“. Das zweite ist ein New World/ Folk-Musikprojekt namens „PILPEL“. Ihr Wunsch ist es, den Ausdruck in beiden Stilen zu verfeinern und neue Wege hinsichtlich Komposition, Arrangements und Gesang zu beschreiten. Jetzt sind „Dalia Faitelson & The Spring Alliance“ mit ihrem neuen Album aus Kopenhagen und New York dazu bereit. Ein Vocal Jazz-Album mit einem Hauch der „Sing a Song“-Tradition.

Born and raised in Israel Dalia started listening to jazz music from a young age. After playing the piano for 3 years she moved to play the guitar choosing it as her main instrument.
Dalia graduated with highest honour degree from Berklee College of Music, Boston, in ‘91, then moved to Europe – settling down in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Throughout her musical career Dalia has concentrated on her own original material and on her
Orchestra “Common Ground”. This orchestra has been performing all over Europe for the last 12 years presenting primarily a blend of jazz and ethnic music using musicians from both the jazz and world music scene.
This year Dalia turned “Common Ground” into 2 new projects: The first is a new jazz project by the name of “Spring Alliance”. The second, a new world/folk music project by the name “PILPEL”. The wish is to refine the expression in both styles and try new grounds regarding compositions, arrangements and vocals.
“Dalia Faitelson & The Spring Alliance” are ready with their first new album made in Copenhagen and NY.
It is a vocal jazz album with a touch of the “sing a song” tradition.
