Nach seinem ersten Album (“I comme Icare”), das durchweg positive Resonanz von der Presse erfuhr, widmete sich der Trompeter Nicolas Folmer für das neue Album zuerst der Konzeption von Gruppe, Zusammenhalt, Interaktion und Aufteilung. Nachdem er ein intimes, gereiftes Repertoire bereit hatte, wartete er auf die perfekte Osmose der Gruppe, die aus Pierre-Alain Goualch am Piano und Thomas Grimmonprez an den Drums besteht, bevor er die Aufnahmen begann. Damit ein kurzer Abriss der Entstehungsgeschichte von „Fluide“, um von der Komplizenschaft der Musiker, aber auch der persönlichen Entwicklung des Mannes zu erzählen, der immer nach bereichernderen Erfahrungen sucht, seien sie in Frankreich (Toulon), der Insel Réunion oder in Caracas. Langsam und stetig veranlasst seine Virtuosität die Geburt und Reifung eines Musikers, der sich anderem mit Hingabe öffnet. Und wie könnte man nicht verführt werden von den Geschichten seiner Reisen, dem Hervorrufen intensiver Momente, den vielen subtilen Gefühlen…

After a very successful 1st album which was widely saluted by the press (“I comme Icare”), trumpet player Nicolas Folmer first thought group, cohesion, interaction and sharing for this new album. After having matured an intimate repertory, he waited the perfect osmosis of the group composed of Pierre-Alain Goualch at the piano and Thomas Grimmonprez at drums before recording. This is how “Fluide” was born to tell the musicians’ complicity but also to make known the personnal development of a man wo constantly looks after enriching experiences whether in France (Toulon), in Réunion Island or in Caracas.
Slowly but surely the virtuosity of the first momentums gives birth to the maturity of a musicien who is opened to the others and passionate. How not to be seduced by his travels’ stories, his evocations of intense moments, his subtle feelings…

Après un premier album fort réussi et amplement salué par la presse (« I comme Icare »), le trompettiste Nicolas Folmer, pour ce nouvel album, a d’abord pensé groupe, cohésion, interaction, partage. Après avoir mûri un répertoire personnel, il a attendu la parfaite osmose du groupe composé de Pierre-Alain Goualch au piano et de Thomas Grimmonprez à la batterie avant de franchir les portes du studio. Ainsi est né « Fluide » pour dire la complicité des musiciens mais aussi pour signifier l’évolution personnelle d’un homme en perpétuelle quête d’expériences enrichissantes que se soit en France (Toulon), à la Réunion ou à Caracas. Lentement, mais sûrement, se subtilise à la virtuosité des premiers élans la maturité d’un musicien ouvert aux autres et passionné. Comment ne pas être séduit par ses récits de voyage, ces évocations de moments intenses, ces émotions subtiles…
