Mads Hansen machte sein Diplom am Rhythmic Conservatory 1998 in Kopenhagen. 1999 nahm er seine erste Solo-CD “My Standards” auf und im Januar 2000 erhielt er ein zweijähriges „Performing Artists“ Stipendium der Danish Art Foundation und wurde für den Jazz Grammy 2000 in der Kategorie „Der neue Name des Jahres im dänischen Jazz“ nominiert. „I love J.A.M.“ ist seine vierte Veröffentlichung. Die Mitglieder von Mads Hansens J.A.M. sind einige der besten Musiker Dänemarks und alle verfügen über viele Jahre Erfahrung in der Jazz- und Rockszene. Die Band scheint mit ihrem Spiel Feuer zu legen und hat einen besonderen Sound, der sie von anderen Bands abhebt. Die Zusammensetzung gleicht der einer Rockband, wobei der Sänger durch ein Tenorsaxophon/ eine Klarinette ersetzt wird, zwei Gitarren, Bass und Schlagzeug. Sie klingt wie ein Mix aus Jazz, Rock, Folk und Country. Alle Kompositionen wurden von Mitgliedern der Gruppe geschrieben und arrangiert. Dynamischer Modern Jazz gespielt von führenden Musikern Dänemarks.

Mads Hansen got his Diploma from The Rhythmic Conservatory in Copenhagen 1998. 1999 he recorded his first solo cd ”My Standards” and January 2000 he received a 2-year Scholarship for Performing Artists from the Danish Art foundation and was nominated at Jazz Grammy 2000 in the category: "The new name of the year in Danish Jazz". ”I love J.A.M.” is his fourth release. The members of Mads Hansen J.A.M. are some of the best musicians from Denmark and they all have many years of experience on both the jazz-scene and the rock-scene. The band is burning and has a special sound unlike most other bands around. The setup is similar to a rock band with the singer replaced by a tenorsaxophone/clarinet, two guitars, bass and drums. It sounds like a mix of jazz, rock, folk and country. All compositions are written and arranged by the members of the Group. A dynamic form of modern jazz played by some of the leading musicians in Denmark.
