„Tango Jalousie and all that Jazz“ heißt das mit Spannung erwartete erste Album des Erling Kroner New Music Orchestra. Seit ihrer Entstehung im Jahr 2005 dient EKNMO als Kroners Plattform, um eigene Kompositionen und/ oder Arrangements zu präsentieren. Niels Gerhardt trägt Originalmusik und Arrangements bei. Das Personal vom EKNMO ist eine handverlesene Kreuzung aus Topmusikern verschiedener Generationen der dänischen Jazzszene, vom jungen Peter Marott an der Trompete über Pernille Bévort und Jan Harbeck am Tenor, Marie Louise Schmidt am Piano, Dennis Drud am Schlagzeug, Christina von Bülow am Alt bis zu Calle Lindberg an der Posaune, Ed Epstein am Bariton, Jan zum Vohrde am Alt und Erling Kroner an der Posaune umspannt das Orchester alle Altersklassen von 25 bis 63. Das Album enthält sechs Originalkompositionen, sowohl zwei Arrangements von Astor Piazolla als auch das Arrangement des Titellieds, Tango Jalousie, stammen von Kroner, neben drei Originalen von Gerhardt, welche die Vielseitigkeit der Band und ihrer hervorragenden Solisten zur Schau stellen.

Tango Jalousie and all that Jazz is the eagerly anticipated first album by the Erling Kroner New Music Orchestra. EKNMO, incepted in 2005, took over from the defunct Beijbom Kroner Big Band as Kroner’s main vehicle for writing and presenting his music, compositions and/or arrangements. Niels Gerhardt also contributes original music and arrangements. The EKNMO personnel is a cross-section of hand-picked top jazz musicians of all generations on the Danish jazz scene, from young Peter Marott on trumpet to Pernille Bévort and Jan Harbeck on tenor, Marie Louise Schmidt on piano, Dennis Drud on drums, Christina von Bülow on alto to Calle Lindberg on trombone, Ed Epstein on baritone, Jan zum Vohrde on alto and Erling Kroner on trombone, an age-bracket from 25 to 63.
The album includes six original compositions, two arrangements of Astor Piazzolla compositions as well as the arrangement of the title song, Tango Jalousie, by Kroner, alongside three originals by Gerhardt and showcases the band’s versatility and it’s formidable soloists.
