Don Latarski is well known in the guitar world for his numerous Warner Bros. Publication books on guitar instruction. He has authored over 17 books for them. He is also head of guitar studies at the University of Oregon.
His many recordings include 3 acoustic guitar releases: NorthWest of December, Natural Instincts and Fab 4 on 6. His blues recordings include: Deep Play, Eden Hall Sessions and Rue Two.
Latarski has been playing guitar since the age of 10 and during his professional career has drawn on many different styles from blues, soul, rock, funk and Americana. His current sound is based around the acoustic steel string guitar.
His fingerstyle approach to the guitar is very piano-like, playing bass, middle voices and melodies simultaneously.
