“Playing” is the eagerly anticipated second album by the Jan Lippert Ensemble. Featuring the guitar in the leading role the album presents edgy and twisted groove jazz. The album includes nine original compositions by Jan Lippert, and every tracks more or less plays around surface and depth; tradition and in between. It’s like an enigmatic playground… Most certainly Jan Lippert plays a virtuoso and funky jazz guitar and his versatile ensemble really plays attention.
