„Dieses Projekt entstand aus der Sehnsucht, Musiker zusammen zu bringen, die ich in den letzten 3 oder 4 Jahren auf mehreren Touren in ganz Europa kennengelernt hatte. Als ich das Projekt begann, wurde mir klar, dass der Schwerpunkt die Mischung der verschiedenen Klänge der beteiligten Instrumente sein würde.
Auch wenn die Wahl des Instruments eines jeden Musikers hauptsächlich durch seinen speziefischen Sound und sein Talent als Solist beeinflusst ist, habe ich versucht Instrumente mit sehr verschiedenen Klangfarben zu vereinen, um die Klangpalette zu vergrössern. Von Mundharmonika (Olivier Ker Ourio) bis Gesang (Fay Claassen), nicht zu vergessen, das Cello (Kathy Adam)und alle Arten von Gitarren und Mandoline (Olivier Louvel). Mit dem Bassisten Christophe Wallemme und dem Percussionisten Minino Garay ist die Rhythmusgruppe sowohl solide, als auch kreativ. “Song of You” ist von all den Begegnungen inspiriert, die ich hatte, als ich die Meister und all die unterschiedliche Musik hörte. Von nah, von fern, heute oder gestern.“

"This project came from a desire to bring together musicians that I have had the pleasure of meeting during various tours throughout Europe over the past three or four years. And as the project unfolded, I realised that one of the main focal points was going to be the blend of the various sounds from the instruments being used. Even though the choice of each musician is mainly motivated by their specific sound and talents as a soloist, I also tried to bring together instruments with very different timbres so as to open the sound palette, from the harmonica (Olivier Ker Ourio) to the voice (Fay Claassen) not forgetting the cello (Kathy Adam) and all sorts of guitars, mandolins and saz (Olivier Louvel).With bassist Christophe Wallemme and percussionist Minino Garay, the rhythm section is both solid and creative. “Song of You” is inspired by all the encounters that I had, by listening to the masters and all the various music that you hear by accident without being prepared for them. From here or from far, today or yesterday."
