Hit by the Devil of Blues through her contact with Dan Akroyd, Nina Van Horn first started in the United States a Blueswoman career and became hardened by supporting Bette Midler, Eric Burdon and Chuck Berry. For this new album, Nina Van Horn was helped by Neal Black for writing and she was joined by several artists (among them Lucky Peterson at Hammond B3 organ) who allow her to visit once again all the colors of blues. With a rebel spirit and a sensitivity on edge, Nina true to her habits relates the world and talks about Huntsville where the economy lies on prisons and executions, describes the fate of New Orleans inhabitants… the bonus DVD presents all the recording steps and shows the “so blues” mood of the recording.
